Ask for Gayla, Sandy, or Linda for great service. Ask about the Friday or Saturday specials as they won't disappoint.
For those who rated less than 5 stars I imagine your expectations were that of McDonald's - cheap, fast and hot. Stick to that and don't bash a Peoria Landmark Restaurant. They would make it right where McDonald's world tell you to bugger off. -

How have I never reviewed Jim's?!
I've been to Jim's quite a few times and the food is always so good and I always leave with a happy and fully belly haha.
We like to save Jim's for special occasions or a nice date night.
We've also been to Jim's for work dinners.
Service is always exceptional.
I almost always get the lobster as my main entrée and a salad with the Brittany dressing (bacon-y goodness... if you like bacon you will LOVE this dressing)... sometimes I crave this dressing and go for dinner for this reason alone. Trust me, it's that good.
Lobster is always well cooked and juicy.
I've had several different appetizers and desserts and all are delicious!
Ambiance is romantic with dim lighting.

Expensive and not very good service. The bar is really cool- it's a piano that turns into a bar and the pianist plays at the bar which is cool. The staff is not the nicest but the bread mage up for it. Would not recommend the wedge salad but other things were decent.

Not recommended. Our party of five had poor quality food. Our server never told us the specials and had trouble with her comprehension of English. No flavor on any of steaks and pasta dishes were gummy. Asked for management but they couldn't be bothered to stop by our table. Free dessert. Thank you. If you want flavor for your money, go elsewhere.

An old school institution in downtown Peoria. The food is usually good. The service is either hit or miss. The waitstaff is mostly elderly so allow plenty of time.
I like the lemon drop martinis and filets.
Be sure to have a reservation.
